This Artist’s Realistic Pokémon Are Cool As Hell –

We’ve featured the dope realistic Pokémon by Joshua Dunlop, before and it’s been awhile so he has even more amazing creations! Joshua is a concept artist, creature designer, and illustrator from the UK, and he’s planning on creating an entire Pokémon Zoology website. YES, PLEASE!

Check out some of Joshua Dunlop’s amazing Pokémon drawings down below, and if you want to see more of his work, visit his Instagram and ArtStation pages. If you want to throw some cash Joshua’s way to support his Pokémon dreams, check out his Patreon page.

Generally, these gentle giants are passive creatures, but if angered in any way, they will charge at you with all 5 tons of their stone armored bodies, so be careful not to startle any of them! In captivity, it has become the fashion to sand down their stone to make it smoother, however, it is recommended not to do this as the vibrations from the grinder can be distressing. Their rock is naturally porous and is designed the crumble away as they grow, making it thinner by sanding it down can make it brittle, forcing it to crack unnaturally. This was a real challenge with all the parts, but I got there eventually! I had to change some of the proportions (like its leg length and width) to make its anatomy functional.
