Ready for battle, the Raichu twitched with anticipation. Sparks rippled from its body, crackling in the crisp cold air. As the challenger emerged it raised onto its hind legs, lightly bobbing and sniffing the air. Its trainer called from the podium, "Hold girl, ready on my count'. The Raichu fell back to all fours, sinking its feet into the cold damp grass and watched as the challenger pulled out a Pokeball… she was ready… Here is the official Raichu image acting as a precursor to the Golem battle scene. Hope you all like it! If you want to support the project or just want to get some cool merch, check out my Patreon and Etsy store now!: Link in my Bio! #Pokemon #PokemonZoology #Raichu
When Magnemite combine, their AI advances by wirelessly sharing power and information, they become locked together with a powerful magnetic field and evolve into Magneton. They are often used in security and filming as they can transmit whatever they see to any device wirelessly from great distances in HD quality. Hope you all like this, I managed to get this out pretty fast as I used my Magnemite model as a base 🙂 Please support the project through Patreon and check out my Etsy store here: https://linktr.ee/joshdunlopconceptartist #Pokemon #PokemonZoology #Magneton #JoshuaDunlop
As the sandstorm rolled in, I saw it emerge from the dust… a Marowak! It was scavenging the bones of a dead animal to build its nest after the male had left. Females lay enormous eggs, making up near a 3rd of their body weight when pregnant. They only lay one egg in their lifetime and sadly, due to its size, they die whilst birthing their egg. Giving Cubone the tragic title of Orphan Pokemon. Hope you like it guys and gals! This one proved to be more of a pain than I panned! Make sure to check out my Patreon, social media sites and my Etsy account if you haven't already 😉 Links on my home page 😁
Digging through giant ant hills, its golden armor glistens in the midday sun. Though they look shy, Sandshrew are relatively unafraid of humans and tend to be quite curious around them. Sorry for the lack of posts this month, I was on holiday then had LFCC! Hopefully, I'll make up the time next month! If you like my project, please support me on Patreon and check out my Etsy store for Prints and goodies!:Link in my Bio 😁 #Pokemon #PokemonZoology #Sandshrew
The parasitic mushrooms have now completely taken over, controlling its body, mind and motor functions, essentially killing its host. Surprise! I decided to bash one more out as a treat as I'll be on holiday until the 11th. Hope you like this creepy zombie mushroom Kermit! Generally, these gentle giants are passive creatures, but if angered in any way, they will charge at you with all 5 tons of their stone armored bodies, so be careful not to startle any of them! In captivity, it has become the fashion to sand down their stone to make it smoother, however, it is recommended not to do this as the vibrations from the grinder can be distressing. Their rock is naturally porous and is designed the crumble away as they grow, making it thinner by sanding it down can make it brittle, forcing it to crack unnaturally. This was a real challenge with all the parts, but I got there eventually! I had to change some of the proportions (like its leg length and width) to make its anatomy functional. Stay quiet, Abra are incredibly shy and easily startled. They have an amazing ability to teleport themselves! It was through studying them that we were able to create the first Pokeball's and Pokemon Storage System. Hope you like this one and thanks for being patient. I wanted to capture an Abra psychically floating, just before teleporting. Deep in the hive, Kakuna sleep. Be careful not to disturb them or they will hiss loudly, setting off a chain reaction, attracting the deadly Beedrill! Worked very hard through the day for you as I'm busy next week. I didn't want you to have to wait ages again (Crazy impressed with myself haha) Let me know if you like it! #Pokemonzoology #Kakuna #pokemon
We walked from the lab through some pressurized doors, we came out into what looked like a domed glass enclosure. Large rock-pools scattered the area, and within and around the edges were Kabuto! Their fake eyes, in fact, bioluminescent sacks, glowed beneath their domed shells. Hope you like it! Trudging through the hot sand, the sun beating down on your face, you see the sand shift in the distance. Taking cover, you see a mighty Onix lift its stoney head from the sand. Created using my brand new Wacom Cintiq 24HD! Don't forget to watch the accompanying tutorial on my Youtube Channel: @JoshuaDunlop #Pokemon #PokemonZoology #Onix #wacom
Though a common sight, I can't help love the curious Pidgey. They fly down from the trees as if to greet me as I arrive home from a long journey.
